US Open Tennis Schedule

The first round of the US Open 2019 qualifying takes place on the Monday and Tuesday before the main draw. The first-round winners progress to the second round of qualifying on the Wednesday and Thursday. The final round of qualifying takes place on Friday with the qualifiers entered into round one of the main tournament.

US Open Tennis Week One

Round one of both the men’s and women’s singles tournaments take place over the first two days. Rounds two and three also take two days each to complete.

US Open Tennis Week 2

The Round of 16 is completed on the second Monday. This is followed by two days of men’s and women’s quarterfinals. Both women’s semi-finals take place on the final Thursday. The men’s semifinals are played on Friday, as is the men’s doubles final.

The mixed doubles final is the appetizer before the women’s singles final, which takes place on the penultimate day. The women’s doubles title is decided on the Sunday before the US Open comes to an end with the men’s singles final.

US Open Tennis Draw

The US Open tennis draw won’t be available until a few days before the main tournament begins but the world rankings give a good indication which part of the draw the main contenders will line up in.

US Open Men’s Draw

Novak Djokovic heads the US Open tennis standings and his biggest threat in the first quarter of the draw could be Alexander Zverev. The world number one could go on to face Roger Federer in the semi-finals, as the swiss is likely to be drawn in the second quarter.

Dominic Thiem should be the top seed in the third quarter and the world number four could have trouble from former US Open finalist Kei Nishikori and recent Wimbledon semi-finalist Roberto Bautista-Agut.

Three-time US Open champion and world number two Rafa Nadal should be the main attraction in the fourth quarter. The rapidly improving Greek player Stefanos Tsitsipas could be his biggest threat.

US Open Women’s Draw

Serena Williams is the early favorite with the bookmakers to win the 2019 Women’s Singles and the current WTA world number nine could avoid some of the other big names if drawn in the second quarter. That could set up an interesting semi-final clash with world number one Ashleigh Barty.

The bottom-half of the draw could potentially produce a semi-final between 2018 US Open Champion Naomi Osaka and this year’s Wimbledon winner Simone Halep.

US Open Odds and Tips

Rafa Nadal looks a great value bet. We like his 5/1 odds to win the US Open. The winner in 2010, 2013, and 2017, he looks to have the easiest route to the final, with Djokovic and Federer possibly facing an exhausting semi-final against each other.

Serena Williams heads the US Open women’s betting. Having not won the US Open for five years, she is a bet to avoid. World number one Ashleigh Barty is fancied to build on her US Open doubles win in 2018 and claim her second singles slam of the year.

There will also be lots of chances to bet pre-event and in-play at the US Open, so check out many great ways to bet on tennis.
